This upgrade increases the amount of produce that is credited towards a co-op project. If you harvest 345 milk with a 3% bonus, you will be credited an extra 11 milk.
This is one of the two bread and butter upgrades for a co-op village, especially a competitive co-op. It allows co-ops to do more or larger projects without increasing their farms. More projects means more points and loyalty points. Larger projects means you get more points per product harvested.
