Zeppelin Fair

Big Farm has made a first look tutorial on Youtube.

--------------------

Current Bugs:

-------------------

Very simply, open the Fair, pick a task (the 'co-op' ones are slightly better rewards) and then do it. Watch whether it's a collect (basket) or deliver (truck) where you actually give products to the fair (like filling a market order or train crate). When the task is finished, collect it. All rewards stay afterwards (nothing resets)

Common Tidbits/Questions

------------------

The Zeppelin Fair is an Additive Team Tournament - your co-op's tournament score (you compete as a co-op against other co-ops) is the sum of each members' individual scores for doing independent tasks. This is a very common tournament format in most mobile games. Big Farm uses the terms Co-op Tasks and Shared Tasks which can be misleading; all of the the tasks are done independently. The only thing that is Co-op about it is you have the same pool of tasks to draw from and your final score and rewards are based on everyone's summed effort.

This event is in its live testing phase and no schedule, lengths, or frequency has been determined yet. This event will have it's own tier system independent of the Co-op Tournament (Bronze to Emerald). The cool thing that Big Farm has done is that the Co-op will start in this new ranking tier seeded from their current Co-op Tournament standings, so Emerald 2 and 3 teams will not start at the bottom, but in Gold 3? together.

Feedback will be collected after the event. I have play tested this event twice.

The Overview

This event is not complicated. Go into the Fair, pick a task and complete it. Rinse and repeat.

You can enter the Tournament interface using the icon in the bottom right of the screen or using the blimp by the tournament tent. The primary tab will list tasks. The first 3 are personal tasks, which are unique to you and adjusted to your level. The next 20 tasks are termed 'Shared' (and referred to as co-op tasks in the instructions) that anyone in the co-op can take and do. When someone takes a task, it is removed from the board and will not be replaced until it is completed and collected OR fails and the person cancels it, or the just straight cancel it. When the task is finished or canceled, a new task will appear below the Shared Tasks with a cool down that can be skipped with gold. If you are the person that pays to skip the cool down, you have a short window to start the task (first dibs) before it becomes available to everyone.

Why the Personal Tasks Then?

You are right that with 20 tasks and 30+ people, there are not enough for everyone, and tasks are tied up when being worked on, or if a person doesn't log on for a while. This is why there are personal tasks, so you don't get stuck. There is no limit on how many tasks you can do. The only limit to this tournament is how much you can play, and/or spend. The bottle neck is waiting for other people to finish their taken tasks and cooldowns (both skippable).

Tasks and Boosters

There are 3 main types of tasks:

Tasks have 5* star levels with 1 being the easiest and 5 being the hardest. The difficulty range is determined by your player level for personal tasks, and 'shared' tasks are determined by your co-op's tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

Tasks reward tournament points and Pennants. Pennants can be used to buy tasks boosters (which can only be applied to shared tasks) to increase the difficulty, time to complete, or rewards. There are also tons of feeds, seeds, skins, cosmetics, etc.

The main reward currency to be desired in this event is Boarding Passes, which are in the milestone rewards and final rewards.

Zeppelin Express

This event brings a new building to your farm - the Zeppelin Express. This is a very interesting building. You can purchase, upgrade, and activate boosters that apply to your whole farm, for a limited time, at any time. The first 5 that are available are:

You can only pick 1 booster to unlock per slot and need to upgrade the Zeppelin Express to unlock more slots. You can not remove boosters if you want to use a different one. You can only use 1 booster at a time if you have multiples applied. You can cancel a running booster if you want to switch. The booster that you pick, you will be stuck with.

You can buy boarding passes for real money inside the Zeppelin Fair.

At first impression, none of these boosters are amazing and I don't know how they stack up dollar per dollar to other pay to play features. Also, if the event isn't well received (although they never improved Dream Farm), just think how easy it would be for the developers to add better boosters in the future, and the only way to get them is if you have to upgrade your tower? It's not like they have never done the old bait and switch because extended features weren't ready to go.

Before you buy anything on the rewards side of this event, make sure you know the costs and really want it for your farm. I anticipate there may be lots of revisions to this event, just like Dream Farm (and Big Farm Web's version of this tournament before us.)
