Welcome to the Winter 2025 Seasonal Event. This event will start Dec 1st, 2025 and ends Jan 5th, 2026, with the store staying open till Jan 6th, 2026. There are updates to the event rewards this year (way more Blue/epic winter coins) and 3 new decorations (below)!

This is a task based event to collect, collect, collect and build your own Christmas tree. To start the first task, you need to acknowledge (click on) the Christmas Wreath in your notifications (under your happiness). You can also access it from the event calendar on the bottom menu bar.

To do this event, follow the tasks in the blue task book:

• Activate the first task (wreath in notifications under happiness)
• Build the level 1 Christmas Tree 2021
• Collect ginger (plant and harvest)
• Collect winter feed (made in the mill)
• Feed to chickens, pigs and cows for cookies
• Collect cookies to complete tasks and get baubles
• Complete further tasks (decoration level 4+) to get lights and the star
• Use the baubles and lights to upgrade the tree

There are 3 sets of tasks intermixed in this event. You can have up to 3 tasks open at once and you will need to finish some to collect the supplies to do the upgrade the tree tasks. Some tasks (for ginger, lights and star) unlock only after you complete an upgrade the tree task.

Cookies come from feeding Chickens, Pigs and Cows winter feed. The amount of cookies is fixed per stable and does not depend on level.

Best option is to still feed chickens. Put in a temp level 1 Candy Chicken.

SOme years the game will allow you to build multiple trees (level 1s), but you won't be able to earn the supplies to upgrade them.

Cookies are not worth nearly as much as Halloween Candy ($312.50 vs $1000) in the market and this year they give materials instead of winter coins.

There are 5 cafe recipes and a new fish recipe as well. Using cookies for recipes is 2-5 times cheaper than using honey. If you have the cookies, use them in the cafe and sell your honey in the market (or make glazed fish).

Seaweed humus is available in the fish cafe for ginger and green fillets.

There are Blue and Green coins. These are used to buy gifts under the shopping cart. Coins come from completing tasks and upgrading the tree. This year they changed the gifts. Green coins will give mainly seaweed feed, humus, fertilizer, and fuel, gold seeds, rose seeds and paw prints. Blue coins give high end humus and fishing lures.

There is no place in the game that shows you how many Christmas Balls or lights you have, so you need to check them by looking at what it will take to upgrade the tree.

Where do I get baubles to upgrade my tree? Do the tasks.

New Decorations

New this year are 3 event decorations. First is a 28 happiness 3x3 penguin statue for 525 Blue coins. Think of it as 1/4 of a 112 happiness 6x6 decoration. Second is a 112 happiness 6x6 Winter Photobooth for 1750 Blue Coins. Last is a 6x6 decoration that is upgradeable from 110 happiness to 134 happiness. The catch is it takes gold and Blue coins.

To put this in perspective, finishing the tree will get you at 110 happiness 6x6 decoration. Mature farms don't need this and it will sit in storage or be used for looks. You will get 1650 blue coins for finishing the event, so the 3x3 may be a nice addition to your farm if you have a small space to fill. To buy the new 6x6 decorations, you will need you to finish the first 2 tasks after the tree is finished, but at 112, the photo booth isn't good for a mature farm, and the Winter Snowmen need 280,000 gold and finishing half the quests post tree completion. You need to ask if the players that can obtain this decoration even use decorations.

It's great that Big Farm tried to update the event and add better decorations. I think they missed the mark. In reality, the average player will get an extra 300 blue coins for finishing the tree, and more from the quests after that.

Special Animals

We know that it takes 16,750 cookies to finish the event. We also know that feeding 2 free range or adventure chickens vs regulart chickens can save up to 2,000 bags of feed or 10,000 ginger!!!! Do not underestimate the bonus cookies these builidings give.

Many mature farms are overflowing with +110 happiness or better decorations. They will skip this event, or do it for the gift boxes and skins. After the tree is finished, the cookie tasks increment by 50 each step until 3800.
