Big Farm Mobile Harvest Fansite

Theme Events

Weekly theme events run from Thursday to Thursday on Big Farm Mobile Harvest. At the time of writing this, there are 11 events, with Farmcup having 2 variants that alternate each cycle, and then 3 holiday themed events for Easter, Halloween and Winter. They generally follow the order of the menu in the theme section of the website. The theme section defaults to the current theme if you haven’t selected a specific theme. Both the current theme, and next themes, can be found on the home page under the events section.

Decorations

Each theme has its own unique decoration that is upgraded with red coupons. These decorations will form the core of your decoration strategy. Each decoration is only available when its theme is running, but can be upgraded at any time, if you have coupons.

Theme events have 6 tasks around your farm with a difficulty you choose. Completing each task gives you small rewards, XP, and points in the Farm Contest. Completing the whole event gives you red coupons used to upgrade any theme decorations and a large number of points in the Farm Contest. The table of tasks can be expanded to show rewards for each task and difficulty.

These events start by asking you to choose a difficulty level. The notification will take you to the theme tent, above the market. You can do any level you want, with higher levels (more stars) giving higher rewards. The game suggestions are just that, and keen, active players usually do above their level. Some events require peaches, almonds or carrots. If you don’t have those and select a level that needs them, you won’t be able to finish the event. When I refer to lower levels and higher levels in the strategy for each event, I’m referring to the difficulty level. The current task can be found in the blue quest book.

Patterns

Theme events follow a pattern. Every event has 3 tasks of generic items to collect while harvesting around the farm (Collecting Tasks). These tasks have a rate (per hour) shown under them in the table. Every building that can be collected from (including the water tower) will give you a certain number of items based on the rate and the number of hours the building or process runs (rounded up.) An apple will give you 36 maps in Camping - 12/hour x 3 hours. Rate will give you an idea of how large the task is. For simplicity, you can also convert rate to theoretical hours by selecting your farm size under the task table. For greater details on rate and calculating how long it will take you to finish a theme event, see the rate post.

The other 3 tasks are collecting specific products from specific buildings (Product Tasks)..

Every task you will encounter, except frying fish in Vineyard Vacation, counts towards the task when you harvest or collect a product. Using this knowledge, you can pre-plan and pre-load buildings to your advantage.

Maximize Efficiency

Roughly half of the theme events start with a Collecting Task, so having your farm ready to harvest at the beginning of the event means you gain hours of production time before the event starts. Harvesting a cherry orchard when camping starts will earn you 144 sticks (12 hours of sticks), even though the event has just started. Wheat, olives, cow feed, almonds, honey, jam, cream, bread, fertilizer, humus and cows are all long processes that allow you to build up collectable items before you need them. By the same token, most Collection Tasks are staggered throughout the event, so your farm can recharge while doing Product Tasks. If you can hold off harvesting and collecting around your farm, or time buildings to be done when you move to the next Collection Task, you can effectively double your efficiency, collecting both the product and building up collection items at the same time.

Field tasks, orchards, stables and feed tasks can also be set to have the first round complete when the corresponding task starts. 2 level 8 mills filled with cow feed is 320 cow feed, or 13 hours and 20 mins in time savings. A level 4 Farmcup, now needs another 7.5 hours of milling to complete task 5, instead of 21 hours. This could be the difference between a level 3 and 4 event, or 130 coupons.

Temping is a huge asset for theme events, especially with field, egg and pig tasks. Sometimes a well timed temp orchard can make almond tasks instant.

Modifiers

Humus on a field will increase collection items by the modifier of the humus, so regular humus will give you 25% more items, premium humus will give you 50% more. Humus on wheat overnight should be your normal for theme collection events. Seaweed humus on wheat and rose seeds are a good way to get collection items quickly.

Boosters do not influence collection items, however, when using speed boosters, the amount earned is equal to the normal time and not the reduced time. Using a 50% booster will allow you to collect twice in the same amount of time, effectively doubling the number of collection items you can earn. Increase boosters have no impact.
